A long, long, long, long, long time ago. Kira-chan and I got chatting about Naruto and I said how I'd been thinking about drawing Sasuke.
She had just done a fantastic job of colouring a Sesshoumaru piccie I did and said that if I did indeed draw Sasuke she would love to colour it. So I said I would draw it and that was like a millenium ago.
A lot more boring than I had originally imagined, but not bad for a first real attempt at Sasuke (I don't really count the pot painting!) ^-^
So here we are, my attempt at Sasuke from Naruto.
I know there's a lot wrong with him, but practice makes perfect right? ^-^
Used pencil and a Sakura marker.
Oh I tweaked it a bit a put the other version in the scraps if anyone is interested in telling me which looks better. I also put the original pencil image up, just cos I like it better!
Heh, yeah it can get a little repetitive. I think it suffers from the same problem other shows have like InuYasha for example.
Like when the show caught up to the manga they had to add filler episodes. Sometimes that can be good and other times its just irritating.
There are a lot of good things about it though and the core characters are definetely interesting and its nice to see how they start out young and immature and how the things that happen along the way help to shape them and help them to grow mentally and physically.
When its not Naruto vs whoever etc etc and it focuses on the relationships it can be an awesome show. The death of the Hokage for example was very powerful emotionally.
I like Sasuke, but personally I drool over Kakashi!!!! I wanna see under the mask I wanna! ^-^
Ack (Slaps head) at first I had his arms too long and I didn't think about his legs at all. Ah well it won't ever be perfect I guess. He's already gone through about 10 re-draws!
I think I'll leave him as is, although the one leg bugs me slightly because I think it looks bent, mebbe I will redraw that part again. Although mebbe Kira-chan can fix that when she colours him?
Thank you so much for the comment. I'm glad you like the details, I went with the black costume, because I thought it was more interesting because of the wrappings around his arm and his legs.
It felt good to draw something, since I hadn't done it in so long. I'm only sorry I dragged my ass on it so bad!

Alas, improvements can't happen unless one discovers their faults. ^_^
Mmm... I watched a few episodes, and (even the dub) wasn't so bad... but all the people going "gaga" over it turned me off... >_<;; Inuyasha is a bad habit (too many "NooB" fans), but at least it got me into a whole world of good anime. ^_^;;
Eyyyaaaah! I have discovered the world of Live Action anime.

I have no real love for Naruto. ^_^; I think it's boring and sorta repeatative... (this comming from an AVID sailor moon fan. >_<; )
The details you put on him are wonderful!!

Yea some of the hardcore so-called (Narutards) can be very annoying, but don't let them put you off what at times can be a really good show.
Ahh InuYasha, I still love that show. The manga is getting interesting again, hopefully its going to lead somewhere this time!
